Gears on this bike provide for faster climbing. Lower gears allow better cadence up the hills -- and they're easier to wind up. And so segments of this climb turned out some acceleration. Post ride feels better than the previous -- not stiff, and feeling recovered rather than beat. These are fitness gains!
